It's the right time of year to catch these up close, they're all busy finding nuts, the ground in Richmond Park is teeming with these guys! I've also used them as a challenge for my new camera to see how well it shoots action shots! This is an A4 pastel painting.

I know they're considered pests but I love these little 'tree rats' and spend hours watching their antics in our garden.

Just wish they didn't get through the fatballs so quickly as it gets expensive replacing them so often to ensure our feathered friends get a look in :-)

I think you either love or hate them! My moan about them is they insist on digging up all my bulbs and bedding plants! So you must have some very round squirrels in your garden from all their fatball consumption!
