Day 3, The Colourful Fish wip

I'm glad I stopped to take a photo at this point, I was feeling as if I wasn't getting anywhere, but when I compare it to yesterday, I think I'm slowly working this out. Got two resemble likenesses, two to go! My art tends to be very stop start as I'm interrupted with my everyday life. I do think this can affect the flow of it, I can loose track on my thought processes.

The Colourful Fish w.i.p

I'm using gouache for this A3 painting. Have started very boldly, using strong colours for the under painting. I want it to be magical, a child's dream of an under water world. I've just started to put some detail on one of the girl's faces. I'm adding fine detail with water colour pencils, these are a new thing, so not sure how this is going to work!
